Features that would improve the software.

1) Different infill paterns
2) Lay flat feature
3) Zoom to where the mouse is pointing ,not to the center of the screen. This would require less use of the pan feature and make the navigation smoother
4) Copy paste model with a single shortcut instead of having to import the same model multiple times

Thanks for the great software.

Most of these have been implemented in 3.0! :D

I think that would be harder to get used to. The way it currently works makes more sense to me. I think adding a pan to the zoom-in functionality would be more complicated to use.

Added copy/paste keyboard shortcuts to duplicate selected models or processes (from their changelog)

I certainly +1 this request, kutukutu1.

Since s3d is the ONLY design software I use (out of 8 design & engineering packages) that does not zoom to the mouse, I find S3d's zoom annoying as it is, and cannot even begin to agree with DR. Anything that deviates from the norm is annoying.

By zooming to the mouse, you eliminate a panning step. If you do not have the exact section exactly centered, s3d forces you to zoom, center, zoom, center, etc, depending on the level of zoom you need. With all of my other packages, you just put your mouse where you want to see it, and scroll the mouse wheel until you are happy.

Re: Features that would improve the software.

As mentioned, many of these requests were added in the latest v3.0 update.
- Many different infill patterns were added such as grid, honeycomb, triangular, wiggle, etc
- The "lay flat" feature was added so that you can just click the surface that you want to place on the bed and the model is automatically rearranged. Watch this video for instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJi4_ScDLtE
- Copy and paste functionality was added using the standard Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V shortcuts. Just select the models you want to copy and then paste away! :D

+1 for zoom to where mouse is pointing instead of center of screen...or at least the option to switch to this mode if desired

+1 as well. Every CAD program and slicer I have ever used has the zoom center based on the mouse pointer position. It's nearly impossible to use S3D with the zoom the way it is. Enough so to get a refund of the license that I purchased today. Is this going to be addressed?
