[Solved] Strange skin issues

Hello,

today I recognized some strange objects at the Slicer mode.

Here everything looks normal,
but the Slicer is adding some infill and some strange round edges unequally to the skin.

Infill Extrusion Width: 350%
Outline Overlap: 80%

If I lower this to settings, the infill at the skin will disappear but my Infill isn't solid anymore.
About the round objects I have absolut no ideas...
The printer tries to print these round objects, but it totally destroys a sharp edge

My printer is the Leapfrog Creatr HS.

Thanks a lot,

Marcel

Re: Strange skin issues

This diamond shaped things are just marking the location of retractions. You can turn them off by unchecking the "Retractions" checkbox on the left.

Because you are using 350% extrusion width, the diamonds for your infill are really large, and apparently show through the thin outlines. But again, these diamonds are just signifying the location of retractions. They aren't actually being printed, in fact, the extruder is running in reverse at those locations!

Re: Strange skin issues

The diamond shapes object is basically the nozzle?! But why does it print these round object, wich are passing the skin? I already lowered by "Outline Overlap" "Extrusion Width". But isn't it possible to remove them completely ?

Thank you very much

Re: Strange skin issues

The diamond shape represents a retraction. This is when the filament is pulled backwards into the nozzle to prevent oozing. So again, this is NOT printed. The diamond shape is just there to let you know where the retractions take place.

I would say that a 350% extrusion width is quite large. I would recommend decreasing that closer to 150-200%. You may also want to try increasing the number of outline/perimeter shells on the Layer tab.
