Kossel Pro settings

Has anyone been able to successfully dial in the settings for the Kossel Pro using PLA? I'm having much difficulty getting the extrusion rate tuned and as a result it fails on the infill function. I'm seeing great perimeter extrusion but the infill becomes messed up after the first layer of infill prints. All later layers seem to not be extruding enough.

It looks like the entire print stopped extruding, not just the infill. Maybe due to a clog? I would try running at a lower default printing speed and also maybe try increasing the temperature by 5-10 degrees. That will help the filament flow easier.

I sorted the issue out. Turns out the hotend thermistor had a broken wire inside the heat block. I had to replace the thermistor and now it works again! :D

I still have an issue that I'm having a hard time sorting out. I am trying to use start gcode script to move the print head off to the side while heating up to avoid oozing in the middle of the bed plate only to have it drop and start printing in the middle of a pile of oozed plastic. (I don't get much ooze but any at all in line with the nozzle when it lowers to start printing gets picked up by the hot nozzle and I don't like that!) Problem is the Temperature tab setpoints trigger the hotend to start heating immediately at the beginning of the created gcode from the slicer and thus is already starting to ooze slightly while still running the auto bed level routine. I am trying to start the heat process AFTER the auto bed level routing is complete. If I don't put an entry in the temperature setpoint for layer 1 then the hot end only heats to approx. 170 and never reaches the temp I tell it to reach in the script. Same thing happens if I create a setpoint to set the extruder temp to 0. Since this slicer is built in, I can't find any other way to accomplish this. Here is the start gcode I am trying to implement:

G90 ; set absolute coordinates
G1 X80 Y-90 F7800 ; move to front right corner
G1 Z5 F1000 ; move nozzle close to bed to keep ooze minimal
