Sharebot Kiwi 3d printer settings

Just a quick note: autoconfiguration of a Sharebot Kiwi 3d gives, in the Gcode tab:

140 * 140 * 100 for workspace settings and an offset of 10, 4, 0

This lead to catastrophic results.

As per page 3 of manual http://www.sharebot.it/downloads/NG/Sha ... de_ENG.pdf

I set workspace to 100 in the Y direction,

then discovered it was necessary to eliminate the offsets.

Now appears to generate the correct results.

I just ran the configuration assistant under 3.02 and this correction to the Gcode setup based on the manufacturer's printer user manual does not seem to have been made?

Please tell me that there is someone responsible for improving and keeping these profiles up to date?!!

Being somewhat realistic, I very much doubt that there's someone religiously ploughing his/her way through more than 150 different printers checking that the configuration settings are up to date. There is, however, a good chance that there is someone responsible for responding to advice from manufacturers and users about changes and corrections that are needed to be made.

Based on the latter, have you contacted support about this?

I'll contact Sharebot right away (in Italian!).

My guess is that, since the settings are so obviously wrong, Sharebot doesn't have a copy of Simplify themselves and have taken no interest in this.

Perhaps the right strategy for Simplify is to ensure that all printer manufacturers have a copy - gratis, if necessary - so that they do the necessary to ensure that Simplify users have the best possible configuration profiles? Surely that would be best for everyone?

Sharebot have now added a profile for the KIWI printer / Simplify 3D on their website.

It’s at the bottom of the downloads page.
