[ADDED] option to confirm process deletion

Hi,

It's too easy to delete a process by mistake and once it's gone, you've lost it forever unless you had previously exported it (and even then the exported version may not be the latest).

So, how about adding an option to pop up a confirmation dialog that asks if you really want to delete the process?

Cheers,

Mark

Re: Feature Request: option to confirm process deletion

You can use the Export button in the FFF settings window to save processes as well as go to File and use Save Factory File which will save the current state of the software, that way if you accidentally delete one of them, you have a way to recover.

Sure, you can save processes by why not have a way of avoiding deleting a process by mistake? It's really easy in a senior moment to press the wrong button. You thought you were deleting a model but you pressed the other delete button and in an instant your finely honed process has gone forever (saved or not).

Re: Feature Request: option to confirm process deletion

if you save your process you cant delete it from from your computer from within the program. the fff file is saved and you need to go into the folder you keep it in and move it to the trash bin. if its not saved and you try to load a different process it does ask if you would like to save it before you load the new one.

As of version 3.0, you can now use the Edit > Undo option if you ever delete a process that you didn't intend to

Only until the program is closed. I just hit delete to get rid of a model, didnt' go away, didn't realize I'd deleted a process. Closed program, came back later, realized that process was gone, and undo is not available.

Not sure how you can call this added, since the request is for a confirmation of process deletion.

Read the rest of the thread. They already added the ability to undo if you accidentally delete a process. So if it ever happens, just hit Ctrl-Z and the deleted process will come back.

Why in the world would they want to bug all other users with an annoying popup if there is already an easy way to bring back the deleted process?
