Nuts and bolts - how to pause printing?

Hi, new here, but not to 3D printing, made my first 3D-objects some 30 years ago.

Is it possible to program a printing halt at any (even multiple) layer height(s) to insert foreign material items like nuts, bolts, you name it, into slots and sockets provided and then continue the process? Ideally, the print head should move to a home position to give access to the model's surface to manipulate it, keeping the steppers powered, then continue. Some way to handle possible oozing (like sacrificing some millimeters of filament in a disposal area) would be the top of the cream. Maybe rather a question for a new feature request?

b) I'd like to have a written manual, not only a compilation of tutorials that don't answer my questions at one glance, if at all. Where do I find that? Don't european product laws make a manual mandatory today? I'd like to see a detailed setup menu like slic3r has it.

Cheers,

Re: Nuts and bolts - how to pause printing?

There's several different ways to pause the print automatically in S3D. My favorite is this one: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=2588

For documentation, they already have a lot out there
