for the mac guys. i upgraded to mavericks tonight and creator is a no go with it. i sent a email to clayton. we will see how long it takes to get sorted i guess.
I did the same, and after reinstalling Creator the software ran, but when I tried to import a model the dialog wouldn't allow accessing the proper folder. The "All My Files" icon didn't present any folders/files. Luckily I backed up my system to Time Machine before upgrading. Hopefully I'll be able to return to a working condition, but I haven't tried it yet.
Yes i actually got it to reinstall and it ran but when i closed creator and then ran it again it gave me the error that it could not find the installation files. I didnt even get to the point of opening up a model. Hopefully its not a big issue and clayton can get it fixed up
Yep, I see what you mean. I was able to finally navigate to my model files by closing the dialog and retrying, but once I closed the app it wouldn't open again as you said. Hmmmm.
FYI - The issue with OS X Mavericks has been identified and it will be resolved in the next software update.
As a temporary workaround, many users have fixed the problem in Mavericks by launching the application as administrator. On the Mac, you would need to open the Terminal application (located in Applications/Utilities). Then you need to "cd" into the application directory. For example on my system the syntax would be as follows:
cd /Applications/S3DCreator-1.1.5/S3DCreator.app/Contents/MacOS
Finally, you launch the application binary as the administrator user
sudo ./S3DCreator
Again, these instructions are only necessary is you are using the latest OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
Hmm i am already an admin on my system. In any case i will install it then when it launches i will leave the app running i guess until the new update comes out. Hopefully thats soon. I an early release is avail clayton please let me know.
I'm using Marerick OS and am a new owner of the M2
I can not get the terminal to get past ...... command not found after entering the following:
cd/Applications/S3DCreator-1.1.5/S3DCreator.app/Content/MacOS
There's a space after "cd" (that's the Change Directory shell command), and /Applications/....... is the directory to set as the current directory. So it's:
