Slicing error

See attached factory file. If I slice each solid seperately there are no issues so I don't think it's a problem with the stl's. However if you look at the preview of the dual extruder print (both solids printed), you'll notice that the "yoke" gets one layer filled from the "white" extruder on the second layer. You can see this if you watch the preview layer by layer from the beginning. (Second layer is the problem so you won't have to wait long, or drag the slider). Helps if you set coloring to "active toolhead" to see it clearly.

What is causing this?

Re: Slicing error

The fault may be only in the colored preview; you have print it out and it shows this failure?

I have no idea for the reason, but it is caused in your arrangement of the two objects. When you have given to position Z = -0,1 or more than the preview shows it fine.

Re: Slicing error

Why the two objects are bundled? That's not normal.
When I export the single STL's out of your factory, I receive always the bundle of both. Thats will be the fault!

Ok, I find it out, the two objects are grouped but ungrouping is not solving the problem. Importing only the eggs-white-stl shows the same effect. Also deleting the process 'color 1'.

I have separated the eggs-white and imported to my own printer-properties and now it is clean !

Re: Slicing error

As I said, I get clean slicing results when they are separated too. It's just happening when slicing them together. If I change the layer height to .25 from .2 the problem goes away also, which leads me to believe it is a bug in S3D although that is just a guess.

Re: Slicing error

... not so for me. It happens also when slicing only the egg-white with your properties of factory-file. When I separate the STL and import it to my own machines properties, then it is clean. The fault is cached in the properties of your machine. No idea what happens there.

Re: Slicing error

So it may be related to the Taz dual extruder profile in some way. Odd that the problem is dependent upon layer height.

Re: Slicing error

Ok this is another thing I've noticed, the white prints every layer solid and never goes to infill if the layer height is .2

If I set it to anything else beside .2 (e.g. .19) everything works, the infill is correct and no printing of the white in the yoke (the original problem).

Really strange. Hope someone can tell me what's causing this problem.

yes. Or changing the Z-value to -0,1mm does heal.
If you have a look to Preview/Coloring/FeatureTyp the asked layer is marked as Bridge (it seems so?)
