Glass plate z offset

I've seen dozens of posts referencing G-code changes to compensate for the addition of a glass build plate.
Why don't the authors reference the G-code tab in the Process Settings? Won't either changing the Global offset or the toolhead offset do the job?

Yes, changing the "Global G-Code Offsets" would have the same affect. I frequently just make small adjustments to the Z-axis global gcode offset instead of adjusting the bed position manually using the thumb screws.

But please note, the toolhead offsets should not be used for this purpose. Use the global gcode offsets to account for an added glass plate.
