100% infill not actually 100%

Sorry if this has been brought up in the past but I couldn't find it in a search.

From what I recall when I was using slic3r and S3D 2.x when I set infill to 100%, every layer had truly 100% coverage. Since upgrading to S3D 3.x my "100%" infill prints aren't truly 100%.

Here is an example: http://imgur.com/M4O0ElA

This edge shows it but it's not exclusive to these thin edge parts. But once it gets to the top 3 layers it has true full coverage on the whole print. So why doesn't 100% infill actually fill in all of the gaps?

Why don't you post your factory file. It's hard to guess just based on your picture of the STL.

Sorry I fixed the image. I linked the wrong picture and couldn't fix it while waiting for the thread to be approved.

Re: 100% infill not actually 100%

are you talking about the thin wall to the left of the picture? it has that little gap because your not using infill there. try setting your perimeters to 1 so infill will will kick in. if its filled with 100% infill then it should print solid. currently that gap is too small for your printer to print and s3d knows that. you will see stuff like this alot when printing text. anything with small details its always best to print with 1 perimeter.
