Printing outside of curved surface.

I am new to 3D printing and would like some advice. I recently began working for a company that prints some simple parts, but there are issues that I would like to resolve, for a consistent print quality.

The parts we print are flat, 1.8 mm thick, but curved. We print them standing on the side with the longest edge. The image below is of the "inside". I know it's hard to tell from the picture but it's curving toward from the camera. That side is usually all but flawless. Nice parallel lines, super simple.

This image is of the opposite side, the "outside". This side is curving away from the camera. As you can see on this side, as the print head moves up, I get these stair type stutters.

I am in the process of trying to sort this out in Simplified 3D with profiles for each type of object I print. Though like I said, they are all the same shape, but the size varies.

It's a simple Vase mode print. Any suggestions would be great.

I have read the Print Quality guide but can not find anything similar to my issues.

Thanks.
