Newmatter Mod-T connection

I've been using simplify3d with fantastic results on my Solidoodle 2 and have recently received a crowdfunded reward NewMatter Mod-T and I'm trying to use it with Simpify3d. There is some discussion on the Newmatter site concerning settings/ini files for astroprint and generating the gcode, My problem is I can't get Simplify3d to even see a port to select when I try and connect to a setup up machine. My computer is a MacMini running WIndows 10 via bootcamp. I've rotated through all the baud rates with the thought that maybe a mismatch there is preventing something but no luck. There is little information out there on the board type on the printer itself so I selected marlin (and all the others for troubleshooting, to no effect).
I know this is a just released printer so info will be lacking on it, but there will soon be a few thousand users out there as their printers are delivered so if it can be supported via simplify3d I'd love to get it working.

Thanks

Re: Newmatter Mod-T connection

Why don't you email the company that makes the printer and ask them about how it communicates. Does it even use a USB serial port? You're not going to have any hope of getting S3D to add support for it if no one can provide any information about how it works.
