Highest Quality Print Settings for a FlashForge creator pro?

Hello all,

I was wondering if there was something that I can import to get the highest quality prints from PLA with a Flash Forge Creator Pro?

I tried to search around with no luck. I have tried a bunch of different prints but can't seem to get great results. I slowed my print speed down and the prints got worse.. Hmm

Not sure what settings would give me the (smoothest) look. I'm trying to print out Wrist Watch designs if that helps...

Thanks a million and apologies in advance if I'm overlooking something obvious.

I printed a couple Knife test prints that came out okay but my watches don't come out great... Same settings and I designed them both in SolidWorks

Maybe you should post a picture of your print? It's hard to make suggestions without knowing what exact problems you are having...

Green is a co-workers ultimaker 2 (face is smooth) - all the silver is my flashforge , the middle one I slowed down print speed and it was a mess. The knife came out better than all my watches using same settings,

One of those looks like it was printed vertically, while the other was printed horizontally. That's going to make a huge difference. And besides that, it's a little too blurry to tell much else.

Yup, the 2 objects look like they were printed in different orientations. Your second silver watch looks like you have it printing face down with support material. I wouldn't expect the face to come out smooth like that. You'd get a smoother face printing it upright with the support material and the ugly edge being on the inside of the watch, or like your coworker printing it standing up.

I've been getting very detailed prints with Simplify3D and my Flashforge Creator Pro using the default preset speeds and temperatures and cheap hatchbox filament off amazon. I set layer height to 0.1mm and whatever infill I feel is appropriate for the part I'm printing. My 2015 creator Pro came with a cooling fan blowing directly under the left extruder. So I use left for PLA and right for ABS. Keep the door closed and the acrylic top on for ABS and open the door and take off the top for PLA.

Here's a couple of the prints mine is cranking out. I'm getting a bit of stringing with PLA, which I think can be cleared up with retraction, but I haven't bothered

Thank you for the feedback!

I will try switching the orientation of the print and see if that helps out.

Much appreciated
