Different hotends on a dual setup?

I have a Taz 5 with a single Hexagon 3mm hotend. I picked up a Hexagon 1.75 hotend with the intent of doing a conversion. But am now wondering if I could use both in a dual extruder setup with the S3D software, or if they have to be the same?

Yup, you can since they allow you to set a separate extrusion amount for each extruder. Read this: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3718#p16283

I've use the method above and it works, although, you might want to get everything using the same filament size so you don't have to constantly keep both types in stock ;)
