Adding a Brim to a Support

I have a couple of parts that have supports that will print directly to the bedplate. I would like for the supports to have a brim. Is there a way to do this? :)

Re: Adding a Brim to a Support

The simplest way of achieving this is to place a "mouse ear" on the print bed in the shadow of where the support would fall. A "mouse ear", the term by which such a thing is called, is simply a small thin disc.....imagine Mickey Mouse!!

The "mouse ear" will then provide a sort of raft to support the support material. :? If you see what I mean....

I Just add a normal brim and increase the number of outlines to a big number. That creates a nice big flat surface to build the supports from.

Glad you're sorted. It's a fudge rather than a solution, though!!
