I have installed Simplify 3D on a Window's 7 computer 64 bit system. Installation works fine after logging in with user name and password the software does not start. From that point on each time I try to start it I get the error, "Simpify 3D has stopped working, windows is looking for a solution" then it changes to I will be notified when a solution is found. I have tried both 64 and 32 bit installations and bot react the same way.
Yup, that's your graphics driver. You can tell by the log since it identifies exactly which program is causing the problem. So you can try updating your graphics driver, using a different driver (for people who have multiple cards in the same computer), uninstalling and reinstalling the driver, and some have even tried using the stock windows driver if the one they downloaded was too buggy to work.
There's a few threads on the forum you can easily search through that have similar advice
Same thing. If you follow the details listed in that crash report, it also shows that the graphics driver is actually what's crashing and causing the problem. Try the suggestions I listed above.
This is clearly an issue with Simplify3D as there are now three different graphics driver versions causing crashes of Simplify3D.
I'm also not impressed with SImplify3D's lack of response to my support request, given I've just spent a significant amount of money buying a license sight-unseen, and I still don't have it working on my laptop. It's not like my graphics adapter is particularly unusual or out of date (Intel 4400).
Well I'm just trying to help out, so you're welcome to investigate whatever you want. However, the crash report you posted clearly shows the problem is coming from the graphics driver. It's not a guess, it's exactly what is listed in the crash report.
So again, just trying to save you some time by pointing you in the right direction. Perhaps your graphics card just isn't compatible. You may also want to try uninstalling the graphics drivers completely and just using the stock Windows drivers to see if that does any better.
