Filament gears not turning Rep/Rap printer

Hello,
Like MAGIC everything stopped?
I have a rep rap printer and the gears that
drive the filament into the extruder
stopped? everything else is rocking!!

I would go to Tools > Machine Control Panel, and click on the Communication tab. Many times, when this happens, it's because the firmware is stopping the extruder from spinning due to some kind of internal error. This will usually be echoed back in the serial communication (for example, you may see it mention things like "cold extrusion prevention" or other errors).

If you don't see any errors or warnings in the serial communication, then check the wiring and electronics to make sure the extruder motor is connected properly.

Hi Compound Carl,
Just curious can a Stepper motor just DIE?
Checked all wiring and Communication ctr on Simplify
and all is good?

Yes, definitely possible. More likely though would be the stepper motor driver burning up on the electronics board. I've had those go bad much more frequently than the motor itself.
