I am using a Flashforge Creator Pro. I've had it for about a month now, and every time I've gone to print something it will heat up the build platform and the extruder at the same time. However, a few hours ago it started only heating up the extrude AFTER the build platform was fully heated. This doesn't make sense as this morning it was working fine. This isn't really a huge problem, but it does waste some time. Any help with this?
I believe that's what the S3D profile does by default. A lot of the knock-off FFCP printers don't have strong enough power supplies to heat everything at once, and many people also don't like to have their extruders sitting hot and leaking for 5 minutes while the bed finishes warming up.
If you want to heat them at the same time, just edit your starting script so that it sets the temperature for the extruders and bed BEFORE it waits for the bed to reach its desired temperature (you just move 1 line in the starting script to do this, it's commented very well so it's easy to find).
There's also many other topics on this forum about the exact same thing, so you might want to do a search if you still need help figuring it out.
