Re: Airwolf 3D Axiom defaults

Yeah that is where I double checked my gcode. Unless there is something more in the gcode that I over looked, other than just the simple line to move X after auto home.

Re: Airwolf 3D Axiom defaults

If that profile is working fine for others, why would the same profile be extruding twice as much for you (requiring the 50% extrusion multiplier)? That doesn't make sense..

How did you determine that a 50% extrusion multiplier was needed? Perhaps that is where the disagreement occured

Re: Airwolf 3D Axiom defaults

Yeah that is what I cant figure out, what am i missing or have set wrong? I compared my part to the picture on simplifies quality page and it matched up with what was going on with mine and it made sense. So i just ran a few parts bumping it down more and more till I could get a finished part. I ran a part that was around 80% but i had to have the fans running which i know if everything is set right you dont need. So I just went lower till I got a part with no fans.

Make sure that you have the correct nozzle and extrusion width set. I have since messed with my settings (I uploaded the original profile). ABS works really well, so does Nylon 910. Make sure you also upgrade to the latest firmware (https://airwolf3d.freshdesk.com/support/home). That made my prints much better. I have attached my latest FFF file.

Re: Airwolf 3D Axiom defaults

Thanks S3RIOUS74, once I got into work yesterday I started over and fresh with everything and used the profile you first put up. Its on the slow side but I am up at 100% for the extrusion multiplier. So I have no idea what I had going on. Once my current part gets done running I will try this new profile. If it works for 910 nylon too that will be great because we are looking at starting to run that for some of our stuff as well.

I sure hope Airwolf works on getting support for the Axiom on s3d like they do for cura.

If you haven't already seen it then I suggest using the provided FFF profile they have created on their dropbox share for AXIOM:

I have been printing with this profile (ABS so far) and have had no issues - in fact, I returned Simplify3D then came back once I saw that profile come up.
Only thing I have changed from it is turning off raft support which is on by default.
