For reasons unknown, it appears that when you use the "Print Support Every" setting, the resulting support layer height is multiplied by the First Layer Height. This results in very odd first layers only for the supports. As you can see in the image linked with this post, it generated a MASSIVE layer and sticks through the bottom of the build floor. The rest of the first layer appears to generate just fine, leaving me to the above conclusion.
This issue is exaggerated when you use thick first layers on small layer prints (since you need a higher percentage first layer, and potentially use a higher "Print Support Every" setting).
