Dual Extrusion Wizard Issue

Trying to use 2 models and the Dual Extrusion Wizard.

Model 1 is a round disc 40mm by 1mm thick
Model 2 is 3D letters

The problem is that after aligning my two models the way I want them once I run the wizard they change positions.

Specifically, the first model doesn't change, but the 2nd model INSISTS on dropping lower on the Z axis.
I need the 2md model to print on the surface of the first model. Instead it insists on printing it about a 8/10 mm below the surface so that only the vert tip of the 2nd model is above the surface of model one

I've tried everything I know but I cannot get the wizard to leave the dog gone models where I want them.

UNCHECK the "Group and Arrange Models" checkbox
