Different Layerheight for Infill

Hi,
I did some experiments with a 1,5mm nozzle on my Mendel90 with two extruders. The results were very promising considering the super fast printing speed.
I was wondering, if it is possible to print the inside of a part with a higher layerheight than the outside, to get a nice finish on large models without having to print for days.

My Idea was to create two similar processes:
-Process 1 only controlls Extruder1 and has a small height and prints with no infill
-Process 2 only controlls Extruder2. The Extrusion Multiplier for Extruder1 is set to 0,02 (you can't go any smaller). Extruder1 prints the outside (but due to the small Extrusion Multiplier only in theory), Extruder2 prints the Infill at the normal flowrate.

But i see two problems with this approach:
-The time Extruder1 moves due to Process2, the extruder will ooze
-Extruder1 basicly prints the outside twice which increases the printtime, especially when the layerheights are similar

I hope someone has an idea, how I can solve the problem.

Regards,
Leo

Re: Different Layerheight for Infill

Try going to the Infill tab and changing the setting at the bottom to say "Print sparse infill every 2 layers". That will make your infill thicker without needing to change any other settings. For example, if you were printing everything else at a 0.1mm layer height, this would make your infill print once every 2 layers at a thicker 0.2mm layer height.
