Frustrasion

The more I get into this the more I become frustrated with it all, if I had not spent so much I it, it would end up in the trash can.
Every turn I take summons up a different problem, I won,t bore you with all the details, just the present one, hopefully the last.
I printed a test 20x20x20 cube, turned out to be reasonable except for size, Z was close, X and had differences, I adjusted the X and Y E steps, and tried to reprint the cube only to find the Z axis traveling at less than snail pace, tried another driver but no difference, maybe dud drivers.
Anyone had this problem, better still anyone know the cause.
Thanks.

Re: Frustrasion

I feel your pain. 3D Printing can be VERY frustrating, especially when you see what LOOKS like everyone just effortlessly printing and you can turn anything out. I spent literal months dialing in my settings and periodically I STILL find things kind of goofed. But I have experience now and can rebound.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 'Z was close, X and (Y) had differences'. Maybe a picture to show what went wrong?

Can you let us know your make of printer, as well? That might help us guess what the source of the problem is.

Re: Frustrasion

I can try to explain myself better.
Measurements after printing height 20mm Width on one side was 19.8 and the other was 2.1, OK that is fixable in Marlin which I did.
That is not problem, what happened afterward is, The Z axis was only moving very slowly in fact I was almost unable to see it move.
I tested things out by swapping Cables and Drivers which proved that they were working just fine, So the problem lies in either Marlin, maybe I altered something accidentally, or with the control board.

I found the problem, a tiny little typo, enough to send any man to the funny farm
