Dual Extrusion Issues -- Help!

Hi everyone! I've had my FlashForge Creator Pro for a couple months now -- currently in grad school for architecture. We do a lot of test models with our printers and I'm typically always using white; however, for our final models, I wanted to use the dual extruder to do two different colors. I've tried to set up the print several times and each time it's failed right after the raft is complete. It seems I can't upload .stl files here -- what works best for a closer look?

I'm using Hatchbox 1.75mm ABS in both white and silver. So far, the silver has only worked somewhat successfully on a small print where I tested the dual extrusion. This is house printed at 3/32" scale, so it's not enormous, but it's not small. I have the silver set as the outside envelope of the house and the white as the inside. I also set up supports and raft to be printed with white. As I mentioned, the raft goes on fine and then once the silver starts, it doesn't adhere to the top of the raft. I usually run the following settings for the white, and tried this and a couple others with silver, but no change:

Bed temp: 115C (tested at 110C as well)
Right extruder (white) temp: 235C
Left extruder (silver) temp: 235C (also tried 230C and 215C)

I'm so frustrated and really want this to work -- surely it's capable? Please help. TIA!

Well if you want help, we might need a few more details. You just say that it "failed", but don't really explain what that means. Did it stop extruding? Did the extruder jam? Did the part fall over? Did it print in the wrong color?

So provide some more details about exactly what's happening, attach your factory file (File > Save Factory File), and then that will make it easier for others to give suggestions :D

So the silver doesn't adhere to the raft.

Double check all the temps. Make sure the silver is ABS. Does the silver print okay by itself?

If things don't adhere properly usually its the initial nozzle height... I'm not familiar with your machine so I can't help with adjusting the height. Regardless, printing ABS on ABS should stick pretty well... you may need to tweak the silver extrusion temp a little higher and make sure the cooling fan is off.

Hiya, thanks for giving me a starting point -- so when I say that it's failing, the silver ABS filament isn't adhering to the white ABS raft. The raft prints perfectly, and then once the silver starts, it can't hang. So it wound up twisting up into long strands and coming off entirely. I use the dual extrusion wizard. I've made sure both extruders are setup for ABS. I've tried changing temps, changing extruders (each color on either side), and even tried different scales (1/8" instead of 3/32").

I've tried attaching the factory file and am receiving an error message: The extension factory is not allowed.

The fun continues :)

I would try not using a raft. In my opinion, a brim works much better and saves you a lot of time and filament. Just level the bed properly and then print directly on the surface.

Check your extruding temperatures... maybe the second extruder (silver) isn't at the same temp as the first extruder...
