LOT of retraction before printing process...

Hi people!
I got a serious problem...
Every time i start a print the filament is retracted by lot of mms , this makes impossible to properly place the first layer...
I'm using a SmoothieBoard.
Any tips?

Well do you have a big retraction in your starting script? You can also open up your gcode file and look through the initial commands in the file to see if you see anything odd.

If the gcode file is correct, but the printer is still doing weird things, then perhaps it's a firmware issue

Everything seems to be ok in the gcode..
However i noticed that this problem is only occurring when printing throught USB... So using an external SD is the workaround for the moment..
