First here's my setup:
[*]Taz5 (PEI print bed)
[*]Foil-lined cardboard box enclosure (temporary!) and I've stuffed the edges of the print bed with foil to help keep the bed temperature even too.
[*]Simplify3D software for slicing and running the job over USB.
I'm doing some big prints as enclosures for prototype/demo electronics kit, hopefully extending into small production runs. I've got some really nice prints in PLA, but am having the usual warping issues with large ABS prints.
I've now moved on to trying the Inova-1800 filament that I bought with the printer, and the few prints I've done so far are ok, but I can't find which setting adjusts how thick the first layer is. I expected it would be "Layer > First Layer Width" but I've got that at 200% and the lines aren't merging so the base has a rough finish:
The brim lines are merging beautifully though, so I'd like to copy the settings that they're using. Can anyone point me to the right setting(s) to tweak for this please?
Thanks,
Danny
