I have an issue where there is waviness along the vertical axis of my prints. Essentially only on the Y-Z surfaces. It is not obvious on shorter prints, however it is very apparent on taller prints, and even more so when I have a layer height of 0.12 for finer prints instead of the normal 0.2mm. I have great bed leveling; Z-Axis mod very firm and locked in at 90 degrees; and I have changed the X-Axis bearings to the longer bearings, and the Microswiss split block all metal hotend. It is Version 2 of the WH Duplicator i3 which I rcvd from U3D.. It is apparent for WH and Hatchbox PLA filament, regardless of color. And I find the filament diameters are very consistent 1.75mm. I am printing at 210/60, and use S3D as my slicer.
The brass nuts that hold the Y axis threaded lead rods were a bit loose in the frame, but I used Sugru to “glue” them in place, and they are now firm. However I still note that the threaded rod has some play in it within the brass nut. All rods X, Y, and Z appear flat. No apparent bending or warping.
Some images attached to illustrate the problem.
I have been trying to resolve this for weeks with the help of the WH Facebook folks and have made no impact to this issue.
