Multiple Process: Infil Patterns

I have 2 models. One should have rectlinear and the other Honeycomb Infil Pattern.
I defined 2 processes A and B from 2 different Profiles PA and PB (because one profile can only handle one type of pattern).
Now I select the models.
Now I "Prepare for print" for both models with the process A for part A and process B for part B.
Finally always the pattern of the "prepare for print" is active.
(no difference "Continous printing" or "sequential printing". )
Where is my mistake?

Re: Multiple Process: Infil Patterns

I've just tried the same, following what you did....and the two infills are different as expected.

Can you attach your factory file and I'll take a look at it.

Load your models and profiles as if you're ready to slice, then on File menu====>Save factory file.

The file will have the suffix .factory. It contains everything needed to replicate exactly what you're trying to do.

Re: Multiple Process: Infil Patterns

Saving the factory file is the standard way of saving how you set up and printed something. Once saved, you can load at any time and be able to do an identical print.

And I think I've spotted a few strange things in your file.

Firstly, I get an error when reading the profiles in. Once for each profile "Failed to parse XML file" This may point to the cause of your problems..but I'm not sure. Clicking OK on each error results in everything loading.

Checking out the two profiles, neither had a model selected. I set one model to each profile.

I then spotted both profiles had rectilinear infill set. I changed one to honeycomb.

On slicing, one had rectilinear infill, and the other had honeycomb infill as I would have expected.

Try loading the attached updated factory file and see if you get a difference. I'd also try loading the factory file you saved to see if you get the same two error messages. If you do, then your original settings may be corrupted.

Re: Multiple Process: Infil Patterns

PS: I found out the reason for the errors:
I had german letters in the comments of the script commands (äüö..)
thanks again..
