Prints begin to the left of the bed.

Before I start, I'll put this out there: I already ran the below gcode.

Code: Select all

G1 X0 Y0 F3000
Everything worked out as I expect it to, with the nozzle moving just over the lower left corner of the bed.

For better clarification (and great justice), I'll also throw in that I'm running a Prusa i3 clone (Anet A8) on Marlin firmware via RAMPS 1.4.

Within the Configuration.h file, I have the following:

Code: Select all

#define X_MIN_POS -33
#define Y_MIN_POS -10
#define Z_MIN_POS 0
#define X_MAX_POS 220
#define Y_MAX_POS 220
#define Z_MAX_POS 230
I've already gone and taken into account the X_MIN_POS and Y_MIN_POS being just outside the bed area to compensate for the fact that homing sends everything to 0, which is just off the bed.

Has anyone running a similar setup managed to make any headway with the correction of this issue?

Thank you all for your time, and have a good one.

Re: Prints begin to the left of the bed.

S3D only cares about where the 0,0,0 position is. So all you have to do is make sure that the XYZ indicator in S3D is in the same location as where your toolhead moves to when you send G1 X0 Y0.

So you said that running G1 X0 Y0 moves the toolhead to the lower left corner of your bed. That sounds like you want to set your origin offsets in S3D to 0,0,0, since that will put the origin right at the bottom left of the build table. Then just adjust your build dimensions as needed.
