Slow heating of HBP and Extruder

Hello,

I own an Flashforge Creator Pro (2016). When I preheat the HBP and the Extruder, both heat at the same time.
When I load the x3g-file generated by Simplify3d, then the extruder temperature drops till the HBP is fully at its temperature. After that the extruder starts to heat up. Is there a possibility to start heating, both extruders and the HBP at the same time? Please note: I want the printer to wait till all temperatures match.

Thanks for your help

Just search the forum. There's dozens of threads with the exact same questions (as well as the reason why this isn't enabled by default)

Re: Slow heating of HBP and Extruder

My FFCP's are the same way and off the top of my head I would say it is to prevent overloading the power supply. With high draw electronics there is usually a good reason for the way it is set up. It could be overboard on safety but do you want to find out by having a melt down and possible fire?

Re: Slow heating of HBP and Extruder

I now have found the G-code commands I need. Thanks for your help.
To the point of overheating: As I am having the 2016 version and the FlashPrint-software delivered with the printer as well as the printer itself heat everything up at once, I think, that the power supply is capable of handling the loads. So I've set the heating to simultaneous.

Re: Slow heating of HBP and Extruder

That was the first thing I noticed when I switched to s3d.
I'm an impatient ass, so I just use the FFCP's preheat function to heat the printer up so speed up the waiting. :)
