Printer Head Collides With Frame During Startup

Hi All,

I own a BigBox Pro Hybrid printer, I just started using simplify3D to handle my prints and adamantly I am new to the software.

When I generate the needed gcode for a given print, I receive no errors and after reviewing it in the software, all looks good. So when I run it from the printer, it preforms an “auto home” routine which completes fine. But when the head relocates to the dump bucket in the back of the 3D printer, it over shoots and slams into the edge of the cut out area overlooking the dump bucket. It still extrudes filament and then moves to the bad and starts printing, its obviously not printing in the proper spot which is an equal length from the adjusted start point from the intended point.

See (http://wiki.e3d-online.com/wiki/File:Du ... fitted.jpg), (http://wiki.e3d-online.com/wiki/File:Top_bottoms.jpg) and (http://wiki.e3d-online.com/wiki/File:Move_printhead.jpg) for clarity.

If I understand the software and its possibilities, this issue can be adjusted or corrected but I have no idea how or where to make the changes? Has anyone else experience this issue or do you have a solution for me to try?

Note: I have loaded the setting provided by Simplify3D for the BigBox Pro. So it seems bizarre that I would encounter such an issue?

Honestly,

BigBox already provides profiles for S3D, so you can check there to make sure yours look the same: https://github.com/BigBox3D/Simplify3D

Also, it could be a firmware problem, but I'm sure the BigBox guys can help you sort it out if that's the case

It looks like the print head destination for priming is set in the start script, so make sure you've got the right coordinates for your machine there. I'd also recommend making sure that the home offsets in your printer's firmware match what were originally set up by the factory.
