for a couple of days I had a frustrating situation where my Simplify3d froze everytime I started it. I reinstalled it and tried everything. The only time I was able to work with it was after deleting the complete registry entry for the software. After that it asked for my account and 3D printer and was working for the current session. When I tried starting it again, it froze after loading.
Now I think I found out what caused the app to freeze. I use a SLI setup in my system and had activated all my 5 monitors. Simplify3d was running on a non-primary display. When I switched off all other displays and only had the primary display running the app started without a problem. After I re-enabled all displays and the app started on the primary display it also worked without trouble. I assume that something went wrong when starting the app on a secondary display.
