Z axis issues after upgrade to latest S3D

Hello,
I was printing along just fine with my Folger Tech Kossel then I updated to the latest S3D version and am now having issues with my Z calibration. I go through the process of determining Z Height, probe offset, etc.... but it hits the build plate at G1 Z0 command and appears to be about 1mm off. Checked all mechanical etc.....

When I G28 home, then Z jog -10 mm, then +10mm it seems to be off by about 1mm shy of home.

Not sure how to attach my FFF process file

Any help appreciated

Re: Z axis issues after upgrade to latest S3D

I doubt that has anything to do with S3D. The 3 commands that you are sending don't require any other interaction from the software. In fact, I'm pretty confident if you opened up the Arduino serial monitor or something and send those same 3 commands you'd see the same thing.

The G28 Z-height is set by your firmware calibration, so if that's wrong, then the nozzle is always going to be too far from the bed. So I would keep sending commands manually and adjust your firmware calibration till you get that right to start

Re: Z axis issues after upgrade to latest S3D

After thinking about how the process works between S3D and Marlin RAMPS I agree. I am thinking it has to do with EEPROM=on and Z probe auto level parameters. Digging in deeper.

Thanks for your quick reply, Love S3D, glad I bought it.
