Feature request: Z lift on long travel moves

It would be nice to have the option to lift Z on long travel moves where there is always the danger to knock down sensitive objects.
Now the only option is to lift Z when there is a retraction. Some times there is a retraction at very small moves and the lift is unnecessary.

Other tab, set minimum travel for retraction

That's for retraction again. I want to retract even at small moves, I just don't want to lift that often.

I too think there is the need for a Z rise when crossing over support structures and actual print.
It should be user defined as retract +Z 0.1 to +Z0.5 or more.
To be used on rapid movements over support structures and part.
To be user definable over what minimum distance the +Z retraction move should take effect. Indipendently from Wire retraction. (ooze retraction)

I've used a stratasys MC 250 for 3 years. They have it and it's great.

Thanks.

ok i see what everyone is saying but does it really bother you that it currently lifts z on short moves? just set it and forget about. let it do its thing. its not hurting anything

I agree with the OP that lifting only on travel moves greater than a set distance is preferable to lifting on all retractions. Unnecessary Z-lifts slow down the print and can lead to blobbing and other artifacts.
