Unhandled exception repairing manifold

Hello,
I'm brand-new to simplify 3-D, but I've been a very long time software developer.

When attempting to repair the manifold of a particular simple model that I have, simplify 3-D crashes with a uncaught exception. Happens every time for me. Can someone please verify the behavior with the file I have provided?

Re: Unhandled exception repairing manifold

S3D-Repair is not very efficient but even netfabb fails (https://service.netfabb.com/service.php)

Repeat drawing.

Re: Unhandled exception repairing manifold

that file is very "wrong" :(

the hole top part is inverted and is not connected to the bottom part except in few points only. this looks like a very bad executed boolean between two objects .. you can try to import into some mesh editor (art of illusion for e.g.) and manually fix this but comment in the file states it's made by openscad, you probably have a source so try a different approach in making this STL, maybe report a bug to openscad developer with what exactly did you tried to do.. maybe it's a bug in openscad ...

were you embossing image on a cube or ?
gcodestat integrates with Simplify3D and allow you to
Calculate print time accurately (acceleration, max speed, junction deviation all taken into consideration)
Embed M117 codes into G-Code
Upload your G-Code directly to Octoprint
