Wanhao D4 Homing and other issues with S3D

Hi everyone,

Thank you for working together on a platform like this where we can learn (us noob's) from those who have already walked the road ahead.

In saying that, I have to this point had so much failure with my Wanhao D4 and hope that here we can get the issues rectified and give the proverbial middle finger to bad luck. So here goes...

Problem 1: With S3D, the only options at Config Assistant is the Replicator 2 Dual with HBP or other, but the option for Wanhao Duplicator 4/Dual is not there as per screenshots I've seen on other forums. That said, I read that I should select Replicator 1 Dual if Wanhao D4 is not there which I've done... Now, when I click "home" for any of the X or Y, the print toolhead wants to run off the machine, (in other words, it is as if the print bed sits outside of the actual machine). I've made sure that Sailfish firmware is selected at FFF settings etc. I can jog the toolhead with the Machine Panel to where I want so the machine does interact with the software but I cannot seem to set the "Home Position".

Problem 2: As this is Sailfish/Wanhao, the machine uses X3G format files to print from the SD card. I cannot seem to find the place where you can export the print file to X3G? If I try to print to SD card, the extension options are gcode only. If I try to print over USB, I get an error saying "this machine does not support plaintext .gcode files".

Any idea so far how to rectifiy this?

If I go to Help > Configuration Assistant, the Wanhao Duplicator 4 dual and single profiles are already there. So I'm not sure why people are saying they aren't in that list...

For reference, the duplicator 4 is pretty much identical to the duplicator 4x, the later just added some doors and windows

The printer is in the list of printers in both v3.1.0 and 3.1.1. Here's a photo of the Configuration Assistant dropdown list from v3.1.1:

Loading the correct profile will automatically make gcode saves format to .x3g files...so your second issue will be resolved when you resolve the first issue.
