With the current version of Simplify3D it is possible to control the extruder (and heated bed) temperature at each layer.
It would be good if Simplify3D could also provide options for changing the speed at each layer. At present it is only possible to set speed for the initial layer and all layers thereafter.

Both of these things are possible with the current version. You can set bed and extruder temperatures at each layer. You can also use a different speed for any specific layer or region of the model. See: http://www.simplify3d.com/support/tutor ... f-a-model/
I probably didn't explain myself well enough in the previous post. What I was looking to do was adjust the speed in real-time, rather than by some preset configuration. The reason for doing so is when I am trying new filament I would like to adjust the speed, temperature etc as a print progresses to try to find the optimal configuration. I know I can set the temperature of the extruder and bed via the machine control panel as the print progresses, but it didn't seem to be possible to adjust the speed.
However, in reviewing the machine control panel there are a couple of spin wheels at the bottom which might do what I am looking for. Could you possibly confirm?
