The View Window Problem

I am trying to get S3D to show my MakerBot build plate I modeled.... in the view port

Need Multiple view ports, side, perspective, top, front, would be a nice feature to add... yep. yep.

But every time I start S3D it reverts to a model I do not want????

Pic Model 1, is the one I do not want
Pic Model 2, is the changing of the model
Pic Model 3, is selecting the model I want S3D to Retain???

There is a bug what the hay??
