Check and lower the retraction distance. Which printer is this ? What hot end does it use ? PLA at 230 is pretty high. possible heat creepjoestefano wrote:My filament is jamming while printing the attached model. I have printed it twice and it jams at the same place. I'm thinking that the distance of travel between the square posts is allowing the filament to cool and jam. After canceling the print the jam is easily cleared by retracting and extruding a couple of times. What setting can I adjust to help with this issue? assuming my theory is correct. I am using a direct drive extruder setup. PLA at 230C.
This is a CubeX printer converted to Duet electronics. I am using E3D hot ends. I normally print this PLA at 210-220 I raised it to see if it would help. Can you take a look at my FFL and suggest retraction changes. How do I combat "heat creep"?kabali16 wrote:Check and lower the retraction distance. Which printer is this ? What hot end does it use ?
