I recently purchased a Da Vinci Duo 2.0A because a friend has one of the juniors and likes he. He failed to mention how absolutely terrible the software for it is.
Simplify3D seems like the logical choice and appears to be awesome. It slices the meshes I have loaded FAR better than XYZ's software. (Seriously it's not even close..)
However, I can't seem to print from Simplify3D. It uploads to the printer like you'd expect and the printer says it's receiving a job, but after the upload is done Simplify3D pop's a dialog asking me if I'm sure I want to change the toolpath mid print. [Yes] or [No]
Either answer causes the job to stop. The printer acts like nothing has happened or that the job was cancelled and Simplify3D is back to where it was before I pushed the send to printer button but the send to printer button is now grayed out and I have to restart it to bring it back.
Exporting the model as GCode and then importing into XYZ's software says that the gcode was made for the wrong printer.
I'm at a loss. I have this machine, and I can't seem to use the darn thing. I have printed the test print that comes with it, and that worked fine. But that's it.
I have Da Vinci Duo 2.0a selected in Simplify3D. But maybe somethings not configured correctly?
I'm kinda frustrated and not sure how to proceed. Thoughts?
