Bed preheat / Extruder Temp

Hello,
I've been printing PETG parts (MakerGear M2) that I'm very happy with but am confused about something that seems very basic though still continue to stumble with. A cold start, I load my STL file, Prepare to print and then Print. A message appears....."Preheating Bed..." I open the Machine Control and watch the bed temp rise to the set point and once there, the extruder starts heating. The print starts (and now that I'm understanding dry filament) and all is well. The part finishes and I want to print another and this is where I just don't seem to get it right.

The extruder temp and bed temp start falling while I'm loading my new model and cleaning the bed. I once again "Prepare to print" and right away, the extruder temp rises back to temperature and meanwhile, the bed temp is falling. Once the extruder reaches the programmed temperature, the print starts and yet what gets reported to me is that the bed temp is dropping while filament starts extruding.

What am I missing? Thanks for any help!

Re: Bed preheat / Extruder Temp

Well you can remove the M104 S0 (cool down extruder) and M140 S0 (cool down bed) commands from your ending script if you don't want these things to cool down once the print is complete. But be warned, it will probably make the parts much more difficult to remove!

If your bed isn't heating again when you start your second print, my guess would be that it's because that second file doesn't have the proper preheating commands in it. Look at the top of the gcode file for a M140 command. Make sure you see M140 S60 (heat bed to 60C) or something of that nature.
