Weistek printer compatibility

I've been asked by a colleague about S3D, however before recommending it to them I was wondering if anyone knows of S3D being used with a Weistek WT200, and any comments about this particular printer. The printer doesn't come up when searching the website printer compatibility page, and nothing using the search on the forum.

I would think it is compatible with any printer that uses Gcode.

It looks like the printer does not use a standard gcode nor a standard x3g. I do not think it is compatible. Nor can I see it listed in S3D's compatibility check tool

I am working with support on that now. I have a GP3D root plus (Weistek clone) and testing a few things out with them. If we get it to work I will update with the settings here.

Basically you can use the profil of Felix-Printers e.g.

Thx for comments. I've advised my colleague to hold fire on buying pending result of work Jeffrey404 is doing.

The printer must use standard gcode....as my colleague uses ReplicatorG at the moment, but is struggling to get to grips with it...and not getting very good results.

Thanks. I have got your PM but I can not respond yet as I don't have enough post in the board it seems.

I am currently awaiting on support to start sending me some test samples that I can start testing with. Since the printer is a GP3D Root Plus (Wesitek 200 clone) what they provide and work out should easily allow me to put to use for most Weistek printers.

Did anyone get this to work? I have a GP3D Root (non-plus), which I believe is a rebranded Weistek W150, and I'd very much like to get it to work before the 2 week trial runs out...

I'm trying a bunch of things myself, and will post if successful, but it would be great if someone had a profile they could share.

You could try the following which worked for me a few years ago on a WT150:

Create a new folder in root of 'C drive' - I have named mine C:\S3DGPX (Found this info on one of the forums, can't remember which - But Thank you to the person providing this info!).
Copy across to this folder the GPX.exe program (from S3D folder), the Weistek_WT150.fff file and Weistek-150.ini file.
Rename the Weistek-150.ini file to gpx.ini in the newly created S3DGPX folder.

In the FFF settings page in S3D add the Weistek.fff profile, and in the terminal box for post processing add:- c:\S3DGPX\gpx -prv "[output_filepath]"
Don't forget to adjust your Z height in the Weistek_WT150.fff file to your own Z height (lines 117 & 120) from set value (144mm) - Mines 119.60 due to my heated bed I made OR you can change the Z value in the starting and ending scripts.
