issue starting print on davinci pro

I am a new user with simplify3d and I am having compatibility issues on my davinci pro. I have had other issues with other slicers but I was able to get craft ware to work through a change in the header and footer. I haven't made those changes to simplify because I thought simplify wouldn't require it. I used the printer config supplied for the davinci pro and I get "file not compatible with xyz". Anyone else having similar problems? I hope I can get this resolved, I am pretty impressed with how the software compares to the other slicers. I just hope I can get it to print.

What exact da vinci pro model do you have? Is it the regular, the 3-in-1, etc? Do you know what firmware version is on it?

The printer is a davinci pro with the option to add laser (didn't purchase the option)
Software version 1.2.8 (1c2534) XYZware 3d printer/3d scanner purchased in July 2016.

So did you try going to Help > Configuration Assistant, and selecting the XYZprinting da Vinci 1.0 Pro? If that isn't working, perhaps slice a simple cube with S3D and with your other software that works, and then post both of the files here so others can try. Maybe that will help determine if it's an issue with one specific firmware version or something

thank you for your reply. tech support has suggested the same and I have sent a working 3w file (xyz) and the same file (s3d) not working. Their response times have been fine, I'm pretty sure they can fix it since there dosen't seem to be any similar complaints. At least I hope so, I really like the software. Anyway thanx again.

Howdy, I Have that very same problem. Unfortunately I have no alternative software to use other than the very dodgy, crashy, XYZ stuff. has a resolution been found yet?

It might help if you said what exact printer and firmware version you are using. It would probably also help if you copy/pasted your communication log from the machine control panel, since that may include warnings or errors from communicating with the printer.
