S3D and fixing thin walls?

I'm trying to print this attached file, but there are holes in the wings. When scaled down, the holes are larger and auto fix measures don't seem to work here. How do I fix it?

Thanks

I did this recently for an other user on this model. Here is the workflow:

Checked it out - I downloaded the fixed file but for some reason it still shows up in S3D with holes in the wings.

Ok I tried again a little bit freehand fixing with meshmixer. There are really thin walls, I think that is the problem.

This looks ok to me...:

That does work - thanks!

Do you know if there's a simple way to thicken thin walls?
