Save gcode to original folder

Hello!

I know it's a feature of S3D to save the generated gcode file to a fixed folder, but I prefer to save my results where the sources are.
So is it possible to have an option in the Options where the user can select the way he likes to save his results (fixed folder/source stl file folder)?

I really would appreciate :)

Re: Save gcode to original folder

I like to save my gcode files to the SDCard (which is always "M:"), so S3D is doing it fine for me.
But if "M:" is not available it would be nice if S3D chose the stl folder as default instead of trying to access "M:"
So +0.5

Re: Save gcode to original folder

I will also vote this up.

I am sending my code via a web interface and would like a preference to allow S3D to store the GCODE and FACTORY files into the same location as the last loaded STL file or where the last GCODE / FACTORY file has been saved to. And when loading an existing FACTORY file, I would like S3D to make all future saves to this folder as well.

The reason I want the above is that I keep all my 3D print files in seperate folders based on the specific model they are based on.

As S3D is now. I'm forever finding GCODE and FACTORY files located in the last folder I have been working in and having to either move or delete them and then re-save the m in the correct folder to get things fixed. And this has also caused a number of my prints have been wasted because I have used an old GCODE file.

In fact, the way that S3D currently works, is counter intuitive (and I have been using file / folder based software for over 30 years), so I am sure that there are others stumbling over this aspect of the software.

Cheers
