dual extrusion

hi
has anyone got any advice, I am trying to print a box using dual extrusion on a Flash Forge creator pro. I have split the box in half and created 2 stl files. have run the dual extrusion wizard, follow all the advice on the s3d YouTube channel. when i print the two halves either over lap or have almost a 10mm gap between them, i have joined the 2 objects together. i am clearly missing something can any one point me in the right direction.

cheers

Re: dual extrusion

What printer are you using? Does the overlap only show up when you click "Prepare to Print" or does it look that way when you are arranging the models as well?

Re: dual extrusion

hi
i am using a Flash Forge Creator pro. they model looks fine all through the process just as soon as it starts to print it either overlaps the 2 halves or it creates a gap. the model on s3d looks perfect.

Re: dual extrusion

Well if the preview looks correct, but when you start printing it, the different nozzles are shifted, then that would mean the toolhead offsets on your printer are incorrect. I see a lot of people who have the offsets set incorrectly due to errors in the Sailfish firmware installation process, so if you installed that firmware recently, that may be what happened.
