Printer disconnects upon starting to print

I am new to this software and 3d printing. I have a Printrbot Simple Metal. This software was recommended to me, so I bought it. Every time I start to print, it heats the extruder, seems like it is homing in and they acts like it going to print. Right when it starts to print, the printer disconnects. I am using a USB connection and I have tried the connection on different baud settings, same result. Is there something I am doing wrong? Should I always or only print from sd card. I have seen videos where people print via USB, but it never shows them having an issue. This is a small part and says it only takes 30 minutes to print it says. Any help is gratefully appreciated.

Is there anything printed in the communication tab of the machine control panel before the printer disconnects? Maybe there is a firmware error that will be displayed there..

No, it doesn't appear that anything is printed on the screen as well. In the G-Code Console, it doesn't give error either. It just quickly shows disconnected. You can press connection again, but it just resets everything.
