Without this, it is not an upgrade but a fresh install of Simplify3D.
Will S3D 4.0 take care of my previous license?

But the installation failed to create a desktop icon, obviously because of missing rights.
So one has still to use the "cd /opt/Simplify3D-4.0.0; ./LaunchScript.sh" method.
Sigh. I'd really love to buy another license of Simplify3D ... if it were properly installable in Ubuntu.
