Gaps between outer wall and infill

Can anyone help me (again) with this other issue.... There is this annoying gap between the infill and the wall

I don't understand why I'm getting prints coming out like the pic below! I thought it was something to do with the "outline overlap" setting under the infill tab but I have it down to 4% now from the default 20% and doesn't seem to have made a difference.
Should I be looking at a different setting?

it seems like you under extruding a little. your also going the wrong way with your overlap. you want to increase the %. 15 i think is default. i have always used that nut i think the main issue there is your not putting out enough plastic overall. measure your filament correctly then bump up or multiplier a little at a time.

No, the factory file, which will be your model and the FFF all rolled up into one. Under the file menu, there should be a save as factory file option.

It looks like hardware problem.
the holes are out of shape. Have You checked that the pulleys is tighten and the belts is not to loose.
It also could be clearance that is to tight putting stress on belts or steppers.

The default overlap is 20% but I have moved it up to 25% and have had no ill effects. I would say you are chasing a hardware issue as well because in some areas your infill contacts the perimeter and then in other areas, it does not.

How fast are you trying to print? Your holes look awful and I am betting you are printing too fast for your hardware.

I haven't changed from the default speed... I've got the Wanhao Duplicator4x

I'm at work now so I'll upload the factory file when I get back home!

So what makes you think it's a hardware issue (just asking so I can diagnose these things...) and is there a caliberation piece I can print to confirm this??

you need to check all your pulleys to make sure they are tight on the shaft of the motor. this also applies to the drive gear on the extruder. if they are slipping even the slightest then things arent going to be right and you can end up with the problems you are seeing there. no reason at this point to print a calibration piece.
