Choppy Perimeters [Solved]

Help me, I'm new to 3D printing and no matter what settings I changed i got the same result. The letters were done in Illustrator and saved as SVG and imported into Tinkercad.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think this is over extrusion issue? then why the other letters are fine? I'm having an issue with the ones that have curvy lines, like "O", "C", etc..

This is what i get when I export an SVG file from Illustrator to Tinkercad to S3D. It doesn't look right, do you agree? Why?

Looking at the image I can see the the curves are a series of straight lines, this is not caused by S3D, sketchup does curves like this, so I would suggest that it is one of the other programs you are using.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. Maybe I'm not applying the correct settings when i export an SVG file in Illustrator. I will be testing the over extrusion this morning as per Brian direction above and report back. Please recommend a program where i can export fonts (name tags) in SVG to Tinkercad.

I think it´s not this case, but I used to have issues in round shapes (marks like the perimeter was built in a serie of straight lines) and it turns out to be the manually 9 points z autoadjust for bed leveling. As the printer moves, the z axis was allways autoajusting it self and that caused noise on the X and Y axis. I disabelled this feature and the noise was gonne for ever. I think it is the M420 command.

I took down the the Extrusion Multiplier from 1 to 0.5 and i think it was under extruded. I took back up to 0.9 and it was a little obvious but i had also to take down the extrusion width to 0.32 to fill the little gaps in the letters.

I seem to have almost figured this out. I think the problem was a combination of bad font svg import from illustrator because i tried the tinkercad fonts and the results were much better. The second issue was i set the temperature too high which made the plastic drips off the nozzle which also caused stringing. I have very minor stringing but me being stubborn and perfectionist i will try lowering the temperature a bit more and play with retraction settings.

Solved, here is what i did:

1. Lowered Temperature
2. Lowered Speed (first layer, printing speed, outline and infill)
3. Lowered Extrusion Multiplier
4. Made sure i have a solid base
5. Increased retraction speed and distance

If you need details i will be more than glad to share with you. I have uploaded my FFF settings in case someone search for the same topic.
